The role of biofuels & climate change mitigation strategies is increasingly important in reducing global carbon emissions. Biofuels, including bioethanol, biodiesel, and advanced biofuels, offer a renewable alternative to fossil fuels, supporting cleaner transportation and industrial energy use. Sustainable feedstock selection and improved conversion processes are enhancing carbon efficiency. Emerging carbon-negative biofuel technologies, such as bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), are further improving climate benefits. Governments worldwide are integrating biofuels into their climate policies, promoting research and development to lower production costs and increase scalability. As emissions targets tighten, biofuels are expected to play a crucial role in the global transition toward sustainable energy.
