Biography:

Sohail Manzoor is an accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in development management, social protection, and capacity building. He holds a Master's degree in Sociology from Punjab University and a Master's in Statistics from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. Sohail's expertise lies in project management, policy development, and training program implementation. Notably, he has led significant initiatives such as the USAID Cooperative Agreement and IFAD's Rural Poor Stimulus Facility COVID-19 Response Grant. Sohail's research contributions include pioneering work in climate-smart regenerative agriculture practices and biochar technology, aligning with his commitment to sustainable development. He has authored several publications and manuals, including operational and business manuals on climate-smart biochar machines, reflecting his innovative approach to agricultural solutions. Sohail's pilot research on biochar has provided critical insights into its feasibility and benefits for enhancing soil fertility and mitigating climate change. As Programme Manager at the National Rural Support Programme (NRSP), Pakistan, Sohail continues to drive impactful interventions that empower communities and promote inclusive development.
