Biography:
Graduating in Mechanical Engineering from the Industrial University of Santander, Colombia, in 2009, he completed a master’s in mechanical engineering at UNICAMP, Brazil, in 2014, and a Ph.D. in Science in 2018, focusing on biofuel life cycle assessment. Following postdoctoral work in thermos-conversion, he joined the Advanced Applications in Processes (GAAP) group at PUC-Rio. His research centers on biotechnological process development, waste management, life cycle assessment, and economic evaluation, utilizing machine learning, hybrid modeling, and process optimization. With extensive publications, he collaborates actively on projects aimed at sustainable biochemical solutions and resource-efficient technologies.
