Biography:
Diana Zaraza is a MASc candidate in Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto, specializing in sustainable energy systems and climate change mitigation. Her research focuses on optimizing bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) using geospatial analysis to support Canada’s clean energy transition. With a background in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander, Diana has expertise in bioprocesses, industrial ecology, and data-driven decision-making. Diana is passionate about generating innovative solutions to industrial and environmental issues.
