Biography:
Dr. Kan obtained a Ph.D. in chemical and environmental engineering at the University of California at Riverside. He has studied the conversion of various agricultural and municipal waste to biofuel, bioproducts, and biochar. He also applied various biochar for water purification, energy production, and greenhouse emission control. He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University as well as Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center.
