Title : Agri-waste to agri-fuels renewable Natural Gas - a trillion dollar ‘carbon negative’ opportunity
Abstract:
Agriculture is a fundamental activity that is necessary for Human Survival and existence. In absence of food, society will start to collapse in less than 72 hours. China, India, United States & Brazil are the world’s biggest food producers. While agricultural food, a huge amount of agricultural waste gets generated. In India, the majority of this waste is burnt by the farmers. This agri-waste is an excellent source to generate renewable natural gas (RNG). This project will help India (or any other country implementing it) in reducing fuel bills, reducing landfills, reducing carbon emissions, increasing the income of farmers, and controlling fuel costs. It is a gold standard triple bottom line project with social return-on-investment (R.o.I.), environmental R.o.I. and Economic R.o.I. It will be a mix of technical and commercial session along with favourable policies for this sector.
Growdiesel has developed a cutting-edge patented technology with proprietary bio-catalysts to convert all types of BioWaste into Biofuels. The technology has crossed TRL9 (Technology Readiness Level 9) and is already commercialized. Till date, we have converted over 250,000 metric tonnes+ waste into biofuel. We are currently working with the Government of India and private corporations on several projects. We are now working with the government of India at policy level as well as executing the projects on ground. Our focus is to provide technology, funding, market access and mentorship to startups willing to enter this sector.
